How to Review for Eureka Math Squared (Without Losing Your Mind!)

How to Review for Eureka Math Squared Topic Quizzes and End of Module Assessments (Without Losing Your Mind!)

Let’s be real: reviewing for Topic Quizzes and End of Module Assessments in Eureka Math Squared can feel like a lot. You want your students to feel confident and prepared, but you also don’t want to spend hours reinventing the wheel. That’s why I’m sharing some of my favorite ways to make math review meaningful, manageable, and even fun!

1. Morning Work or Homework Review Sheets

Multiple choice and short response worksheets are perfect for sneaking in a little extra review without overwhelming your schedule.

I like to use these as:

  • Morning work to settle students into the day

  • Independent center work during rotations

  • Quick-check homework assignments before a quiz or test

They give students targeted practice on specific skills, and the format mirrors what they’ll see on assessments—so there are no surprises when test time comes around.

"Plant review seeds daily and you'll be amazed how much your math garden grows." 🌱

2. Around the Room Review

Need your students to move a little? (Or a lot?) Around the Room review is one of my favorite ways to combine movement and mastery.

Just hang review questions around the classroom and let students:

  • Rotate independently with clipboards

  • Team up with a partner

  • Work in small groups and talk through answers

You’ll get instant engagement, and students get the chance to revisit key concepts in a low-pressure, high-energy way.

3. Task Cards + Board Games = Instant Fun

Want to sneak in some math review without it feeling like math review? Pair task cards with a simple board game!

Students draw a card, solve the question, and then roll or spin to move on the game board. You can:

  • Use this as a partner or small group rotation

  • Pull it out on rainy days for review that doesn’t feel like work

  • Keep it in your sub tub for an academic option that’s ready to go

This approach builds collaboration, supports peer learning, and brings just enough fun to boost focus and motivation.

"Review can be the garden party of learning—with games, giggles, and growing minds!" 🌸

Too Busy to Make It All Yourself? I’ve Got You Covered!
If you’re teaching Eureka Math Squared Module 1 for Grade 4 and want to save time, I’ve already created ALL of these review materials for you:
